Remove the hard part from the banana blossom and cut it in half.

Slice the banana blossom and soak the slices in salt water for 5 minutes.

Rinse the soaked banana blossom slices under cold water.

Boil water in a separate pot and pour it over the banana blossom slices.

Let the banana blossom sit in the hot water for 3 to 5 minutes.

Rinse the banana blossom slices with cold water again and squeeze out all excess water.

Place the squeezed banana blossom in a large bowl.

Add sliced onions and chopped cilantro to the bowl with the banana blossom.

Smash 2 garlic cloves and 5 chilies, then add them to the bowl.

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of salt, MSG, and chicken powder into the bowl.
